how cute is this pirate skirt that i made for alex. i got the fabric on spoonflower.com. it's a cut and sew fabric for a two layer skirt with one pocket. it's super easy to make, and even easier considering i made most of it using my serger. i made it this summer and thought the pocket was perfect since alex likes to collect rocks and usually stores them in her shoes. she likes it, but didn't really ever want to wear the skirt until recently. all of a sudden she loves this skirt and enjoys having a pocket available.
