alex's first pottery wheel piece

while on vacation, alex had the opportunity to use a real pottery wheel! of course she had the assistance of a professional potter - a very nice woman who sells her own pieces but works with kids for free on saturdays to create their own pieces (this is in orrville, ontario). alex did a really good job, and listened well to all her instructions, and made this beautiful little bowl. after the kids make their piece on the wheel, catherine (the potter) takes the pieces and glazes and fires them and you can pick up the finished piece about a month later. we just got alex's piece last week and it's so cute and adorable - now i just need to find the right place to display it - and like catherine's mother said - this is the perfect jelly bean bowl - good suggestion, i think.
