alex loves to take pictures (especially of dogs) with her kid digital camera. this year for christmas, alex received a little polaroid camera that takes credit card sized photos. she already loves how your picture prints out and you can watch it develop and she likes to look at the photos left count. she also received with her camera this bag that i made to hold it, equipped with a padded liner and a pocket for the photos. i used the same owl corduroy fabric that i used for the dog jacket. the liner fabric is a soft fleece that i got in a quilters sample pack (i used one of the other fabrics from the pack for the bottom part of the toadstool). the padding is more of the baby bumper scraps. and the strap is from an old navy belt that i got forever ago from the outlet and was too small. the bag is basically just squares and rectangles sewn together, again i started with making a paper pattern to test the size (in hind sight i wish i had made it a little deeper so that the purse could also hold back-up film). and the closure is just velcro.
