monday manicure

i decided to try out the trending ombre look. i should have gone more extreme but i'm a little low on white polish. i really like it though and it was easy and i like it with the grey, will just need to remember to make it more differentiated next time. the grey color is essie fair game and the white is o.p.i. alpine snow. i started with my pinkie nail and used straight grey. i mixed my colors on a piece of freezer paper and then applied with a regular paintbrush. with each nail i added a few more drops of white to the grey and painted the corresponding nail on each hand before moving on to the next gradiated shade up. the nail polish gets thick and starts to dry on the freezer paper quicker than you might think making it completely unreasonable to try and mix all your shades at one time and then apply.
